Employment
Opportunities
with Parties By Panache, Inc.
This
is occasional employment, requiring scheduling
flexibility.
The
work is hard, the compensation is good and you will be part
of an excellent team.
Our
events occur on an occasional basis 7 days per week and
at all hours. We cater breakfasts, brunches, lunches, teas,
and dinners. We cater small events for as few as ten guests
to large events for as many as one thousand or more guests.
Parties
By Panache, Inc. has for the last 19 years catered to a
very exclusive clientele in Southern California. Since we
cater at our clients' homes and facilities, as well as at
public venues, we are obligated to ensure that all of our
servers are bondable. We also require them to be dependable
and presentable.
A
successful server candidate will be 18 or older, be legally
able to work in the United States and in California [must
have a social security card and/or a green card] must have
a clean DMV record. No candidate may have a felony conviction
of any sort, or a misdemeanor conviction involving violence,
physical abuse of a minor or spouse or a controlled substance.
Appearance
and Attire
Our
servers wear a variety of sanctioned uniforms at events.
The client may request Hawaiian shirts and khaki pants.
The server may be requested to wear a "Panache" tee shirt provided for the event.
Servers
are required to wear clean and ironed long black pants,
a white long sleeved, button-down collar shirt and a long
dress tie. The shirt must tuck into the pants.
Our
servers may not have visible tattoos on their face or neck
or below their wrists or on their hands.
Our
servers may not have visible facial piercings, or visible
piercings on their necks.
Our
servers are not permitted to wear more than one ring on
each hand or more than one bracelet or watch on each arm
during service.
Hair
must be clean, neatly combed, and not cover any part of
the face during service. It must be tied back if it
is longer than shoulder-length.
Servers
are required to arrive for work having taken care of their
personal hygiene. Daily shower, brushed teeth, washed hair,
no sweet or heavy perfumes, aftershaves or deodorants.
Servers
are strongly advised to wear shoes that are comfortable
and provide good support to the foot and ankle. Shoes must
be black and may not have white soles. Sandals, platform
shoes, Chuck Taylor Converse, and high heels are not acceptable
foot wear
Our
Servers are Team Players
Our
clients have many special requirements and we do not expect
our servers to know them all. All events are staffed with
party leaders who do know the requirements and will instruct
the servers of the needs and requirements of the client.
Therefore, experience in the food service business and in
dining room service will not be enough in all cases to properly
perform the servers function. All servers must be team players
who can follow directions and assist their fellow servers
as needed.
Our
Servers are All Utility Staff
No member of our service team is a specialist. Bar
tenders bus tables, grilling station servers will pass hors
d' oeuvres. Bus persons will get guests a fork or glass
of water if requested. By being flexible we are more efficient
and no one person gets stuck doing everything.
