If your guests have finished eating and you have food left over that you know you will not be using, Second Harvest Food Bank Orange County will send out their food rescue team to see to it that the food gets to people who can and will use it.*
Big Events can generate large amounts of leftover food. If you feed 3 to 5 courses to 350 to 400 people it isn't had to have 100 lbs of food leftover including appetizers, salad, soup, pasta, rice, potatoes, vegetables, entrees, rolls, bread and desserts.

Parties By Panache has joined Second Harvest Food Bank Orange County in a Continuing Food Drive
Parties By Panache is sponsoring a continuing food drive for the benefit of Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. You may be unaware that there are more than 400,000 people in Orange County who are at risk of going hungry at some point during each month. We donate non-perishable foods as well prepared but unused foods. This is a small, but significant contribution to the 1,000,000 pounds of food distributed at 600 locations throughout Orange County each month.
This is our plan for ending hunger in Orange County:
Leftovers: You are most welcome to all of the leftover food from your party, however, if you wish, you can donate some or all leftovers to Second Harvest Food Bank. All you need to do is let us know how much of the leftovers you would like to donate. We will take the food back to our kitchen in Brea and it will be picked up by the Second Harvest Food Rescue Services. The food is then put to use right here in Orange County.
Recycling Cans: We are also recycling cans and the proceeds from this will go to Second Harvest as well. Remarkably Second Harvest can buy $1.00 worth of food for just $.08, so those empty cans can go an awfully long way in fighting hunger.
Drop Off Center: Bring your non perishable food donations to 2808 E. Imperial Highway, Drop into the collection bucket and we will make certain that it is picked up as soon as the collection bucket is full
