Fullerton Arboretum Honors
Dr. Clarence I. Nishizu
at
Teahouse of the July Moon Gala
July 17, 2005

Dr. Clarence I. Nishizu [seated to the right] and his son.
Dr. Nishizu has been a civil rights activist for over sixty years.
He is also a generous philanthropist

Parties By Panache with sushi and fruit skewers for the Arboretum's guests.

These carp flew over the silent auction tables

The tables were each decorated with an exceptional floral centerpiece

First Course was a salad with papaya, hearts of palm, jicama,
almonds and raspberries to be dressed with mango chutney vinaigrette

A team of waiters brings the salad to the Arboretum's
guests under floor leader Beth's watchful eye.

The sun is setting in Fullerton but the party is just getting
started, the guests are seated and salad is served.

Dinner was simple, elegant and delicious: Filet of beef in
brandy peppercorn sauce, with stir fry teriyaki vegetables and
wasabi mashed potatoes in a potato basket.

Everybody is finished eating, the speeches are over, winning
bidders are receiving their bid sheets and
now it's time for dessert.

The dessert was ice cream, berries and mint served with
chocolate chop sticks.
