The hors d' ouevre were set on tables as well as being passed. The passed hors d' ouevre included sushi rolls and coconut shrimp. There was also a station where quesadillas were cooked to order.

Lime, orange, blue and purple linens covered the tables. Signature Party Rentals provided the chairs, tables, linens and tableware.

The guests were served a "Zootini", this year's signature drink.

A plated papaya salad with mixed greens, hearts of palm, raspberries and almonds was the first course.

As evening settled in on the zoo; the Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo became an island of light in the darkening night.

The main course included roast salmon with mango salsa, teriyaki tri tip, a vegetable Napoleon andwild rice pilaf, garnished with a fresh orchid.

Jeremy and Kristen put the final touches and a chocolate animal on four hundred dessert plates.
