Hollis off for a final check of the two kitchens, three bars, and numerous serving stations at Zoofari ZSI.

Hollis is off and running as she checks out the West Kitchen

Scullery gods Henry and Lars, These dudes really cleaned up at the zoo

These guys are the people to contact if you have say 3,000 pieces of table ware that needs to be handled.

The Santa Ana Police department helped with the theme

The mood was set immediately as the guests entered only to be interrogated by Santa Ana's finest.

Cathi Decker, the other lady who makes this event happen every year, with clue number 1.

Kathi Decker is Hollis's alter ego on the Zoo's side. Her job is to get everybody to the zoo so Hollis can feed them.

Clue Number 2 at the rail roda station. The Santa Ana Zoo's train travels at speeds of up 2.5 mph over a 1750 ft course.

Clue number two was posted at the enterance to the Train Station

The train took the riders past the crime scene, which is just past the bunny crossing

This is a close up of the crime scene, you can see the chalk marking where the victim fell.

Zoofari Marathon 2006

This year's theme for the Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo was ZSI. All 450 of the guests were sent on a trip around this great little zoo to see which one of the animals had commited a heinous crime. [If you've been to the Santa Ana Zoo you would know this is only play acting because they have the nicest animals that you will meet.]

I thought that this guy may have been the malfeasor, but it turned out he was just playing possum.

I had my money on Mr. Possum as the doer, but he was just a red herring.

Bertha, who had her picture taken with everyone played the heavy at this party and at 60 lbs. she can do that

The Marathon is done by Hollis and heer staff, most notably Leslee, Kellie, Phil and Reina. This party takes many days of preperation to make it come off right and I believe this is the fourth year in a row we have had the privilege of doing just that.

When Big H gets to checking she don't waste no time.

Hollis is really moving at the South end of the zoo

Things are looking good. The tables are set.

Tables are set,

All of them.

All of them.

Salad was a delicious mixture of Baby greens, Papaya,  Raspberries, Hearts of palm and Toasted almonds.
